I am so excited to start blogging about school and life.
Last year I got a new teaching job...you guessed it - in fourth grade! I joined a very small school (around 100 kids K-8) and social media became a HUGE part of my life. As the only fourth grade teacher in my first year of teaching, I had to rely so much on all of the teacher-bloggers out there to help me make my way through my first year. I joined the world last year on Instagram and am so excited to officially start teacher-blogging.
That being said, I do not consider myself a creative person. If I see an idea or a picture, I can usually recreate it, but when it comes to brainstorming and creating, my mind goes blank. So, my main plan on my blog is just to compile all of the other fabulous ideas that I find and share them with other fourth grade teachers. Of course, I will give credit to where I got them - so there will probably be a lot of links posted.
So, about me...
I have been married for 3 years now! (What?!) Hubs is also a teacher and he coaches three seasons - so, all year round. He teachers high school math and coaches JV soccer, 7th grade basketball, and junior high track. He is great at putting up with all of my crazy teacher moments and wacky ideas that I decide we need to do. We love to travel, play sports, and binge watch Netflix together and we are both starting our masters this fall online. We are very involved in our church and the high school youth group.We are puppy parents to a super chill Maltese, Luke and a crazy Laberdoodle, Wrigley. Despite his name, I am a HUGE STL Cardinals fan. I love to read - about education, some of the kids' books, and just for pleasure. I am definitely OCD, so my classroom and my home are super organized, but always getting re-organized.
